It was an incredibly successful day for Social LAN at Wangyu Cafe on Saturday 28th April from 12pm to 5pm. Thank you to all the members that turned up during the event and enjoyed the chance to pick up some cool tricks from our coaching event.

Look at the cheerful faces of our execs and subcoms. We hope you also left the event with these awesome smiles!

Starting from 12pm, members were already lining up waiting to be allocated a computer to begin their 5 hours of exciting League adventures. Everyone was eager to get into the games and queue up with other members. These games included the customary normals, some custom matches and even the odd ranked games. Hopefully you had a great day and gained some important LP!

Besides the casual games though, UNSW LoLSoc was also hosting a coaching event which was greatly received by many members. Many players were able to learn many important tips on how to improve their in-game macro decision making which would be greatly beneficial for their climb for the remainder of the season. A special shoutout must go to Adrian “Morale” Guo & David “ozo1329” Li, our events directors for organising and running this awesome session.

Time to get down to business! Everyone was busily absorbed in their games.

During the Social Lan, the members of the 2018 Sydney Battlegrounds champion team, ‘Add ozo if u r e-girl’ turned up and enjoyed some casual games with the members. It was great to see all the member and team interaction. Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the event included our very own Vice President - Operations, Kathy “sexymario258” Xu, challenging the team’s midlaner, Johnny “XternalRageX” Xiao to a 1v1 where she was soundly defeated.

The Sydney Battlegrounds team also made a surprise visit. Here is a picture before our very own Vice President - Operations was beaten in her 1v1 challenge. Look at her smile before it disappeared from that ill-advised challenge.

The event also saw tons of small goodies handed out, including prizes for general attendance and most improved. Congratulations to Iain Lew and Joshua Sumskas for winning $10 RP each!
